Not sure if that's true, but this mitt seems to work well.) I use this all the time. I'm terrible at keeping streaks out of stainless steal but this improves my performance. Had to get my mom one too. I really like this cleaning cloth, it helps out when the stainless gets slightly dirty. If there are long streaky liquid stains or really heavy soiling on products, it may need some extra help. I use it for normal cleaning, but turn to chemical cleaning when there's a lot of crud on the stainless. My only tip is to not use too much water. If you get too much water on it, the other side won't soak up enough, and then your appliances get streaky. I bought this mitt for my mom to use on all of her stainless steel appliances. It works by just dampening one side with water, wiping, and drying with the other side. She seems to like it as she doesn't have to use any chemicals or cleaning products with it. I am sure this must work for some people but it does not work on mine at all, leaves huge streaks.
