Reviews this is the best trash can in the world because: it uses the plastic grocery bags. they fit perfectly. i never get paper grocery bags. i always get plastic. that way, i can use them for the garbage can. so i do not need to buy garbage bags. this is like two trash cans, an inner one and the outer one. the inner can has handles which hold the grocery bag perfectly. engineered well, some one actually thought of making this work well. Sleek and fits in narrow spaces, but I don't feel this justifies the markup in price ($30 for a trashcan!?). i don't see much of a difference between this trashcan and any other one you can buy at half the price other than the fact that it has notches for you to fit the handles of plastic grocery bags into, which I don't find are of much use. They do fit grocery bags nicely, but you can find another one out there that will do the same. The bottom of the trashcan grips the floor cuz it has a non-slip rubber lining, but I don't prefer this cuz sometimes I use my foot to move the trashcan to wear i need it, and the non-slip lining doesn't allow for that. Bottom line, overpriced for a trashcan. Go to Kmart and get one for $10 to $15 that will serve you the same function. If it was priced at $20, and you need something that fits in that narrow space between your fridge and cabinets and can't find one elsewhere, I'd say good deal. $30 is pushing it to where I'd call it a rip-off unless it talked to you or something. This trash can is perfect for the small narrow spot in any bathroom. It works exactly likes it supposed to! I'm going to buy another. I love simplehuman products. I have 3 of their trashcans (this one included), their plastic bag recycling doohickey and the amazing bamboo/steel dishrack. I had some pathetic trashcan in my bathroom that I got at Target cause it was cheap and every time I pressed the pedal, it banged into my toilet and was just a PITA. I was wandering the aisles of Bed, Bath and Beyond one day and then I saw this narrow miracle. It is absolutely the perfect size for the bathroom, uses plastic grocery bags (which I store in the other aforementioned Simplehuman product) and looks fantastic always (thanks to the Simplehuman fingerprint-proof coating). If you also have a small bathroom (damn Los Angeles real estate), this is the perfect trashcan and built with the same quality typical of all Simplehuman products. The trash can is very nice and and well made, I bought it for the kitchen since a shopping bag is an amount I get every day of garbage (because I have also a composter), I love the fact that it uses the shopping bags, normally for my groceries I use reusable bags, but I get bags when I go to another stores so this is a very nice way to reuse them, the inside plastic bottle has on the sides a place to hold the bags holders so the bags keep in place. Now the only thing I would like it to have is rubber or silicone edge on the bottom because it doesn't keep in place after many times to step for open it (I have it on tile) now I liked it a lot that I got another one but not from Amazon *sorry amazon* because they didn't wrap it well and mine had some dents, I didn't return it because I don't have an USPS close by, so the second one I bought it from Bed Bath.
