The smell is not overpowering. I like it. This item was given as a gift because the recipient has previously bought it and was running low. Very woodsy yet light. I was very pleased with this product! I'm a 21 year old college student and have gotten a lot of compliments from the girl friend, as well as other people. The only drawback is that I think the smell is just a little weak. I have to put on two or three sprays to really get a good amount. Other than that it's all good....
