It is the same battery I use in my cell phone. Thus I have extra batteries for each depending upon the need. I have a cord charger for the phone and I have a small plug in charger for the camera (came with the camera). This enables me to charge both at the same time or have one charging in the car on trips. i purchased this battery for my W290 so that i have an extra battery aside from the supplied one.......... one good thing is that this battery really shows the actual time left instead of the indicator only......... only that when using this you should really drain the battery before you charge it again this way you won't run the battery life short...... If you're looking for a spare battery get this one and make it your primary! This battery was great. It was obvious a definite improvement over the standard batter that came with my DSC-H20. It was also an improvement in that it showed a much better indicator of the battery available. I highly recommend. This spare battery is a must with the Sony Cyber-SHot because the battery provided does not last as long as this one. Great product and woould definitely recommend! I bought this battery for a Sony DSC-W150. I think everyone having a camera should have an extra battery for those moments where it is coming the best part of the show and you run out of battery, and this is the perfect replacement for the original one, with the extra feature of the remaining time in minutes (not only the regular status bar). It is battery is a MUST HAVE for any photos camera owner.
