You have to empty the water tank every time you finish vacuuming though because leaving the water in there for several days would cause it to Stink so bad. My son was just diagnosed with asthma so i went on a rampage to look for the best vacuum out there. Rainbow vacuums are the top sellers, but not everyone has the money for that ($2,000). Trust me, I have tried searching for the best alternative to a rainbow. Thanes or some other product at $300 do not have the same reviews as this product. So i just had to try this. I bought mine at ebay though for $145 because when I ordered it from here, it gave me a shipping date that was a month after my purchase date. I coudn't wait that long. Anyway, as for the product, it's everything I have asked for. The suction is just awesome. It sucks everything in it's path. I don't care what other people say, but for me I feel much better cleaning this vacuum right after using it because I know I am not storing anymore dirt/dust around the house (as opposed to the ones with bags). Just a little warning: if you are not patient with cleaning, I don't think this is for you because it can require some work. Parts are a little too complicated to clean as hair, thick dust, and nasty dirt can get stuck in some of it's parts while you are trying to clean it. When I tell you that it's sucks like hell, it does suck like hell! I was able to thoroughly clean my car upholstery with this vacuum. It was immaculate after all the dark stains that it has acquired through 4 yrs of constant abuse as my son eats in the car on the uncovered cloth seats. You can just imagine how nasty it was. The original light gray seats turned brown...dark brown. Anyway, with the help of this product, I was able to bring back the original color of the seats. I am becoming a little OCD though (just a little) because when I look at my carpet at home, it always looks clean. But when I put this baby to work, it sucks sooooo much dirt and you could see that your water turns dark from all that dirt it's sucking. I now vacuum every other day, still the dirt it gathers is unfathomable considering that the house is virtually empty during the day. No one is home to make a mess. Other people have mentioned that the unit was too tall, I can live with that. some said it is loud...too loud. They're probably old....just kidding...I don't find it too loud. Cheap parts to some...you get what you pay for, right? It's not that bad. I like the different heads. Very versatile! I could go on and on about this product. In fact I could sell it if only I had time. Anyway, I wish I get paid for his review because I've written a review I know people will find helpful. Go ahead! Buy this product. It is worth your money! I was actually impressed with this vac. The suction on it is unbelievable, and what is neat about it, is that I can control the suction on it. when your done using the vac, make sure you immediately empty the container, if you dont, you will be sorry...phew!! the vac came with alot of attachments, which was really nice. I used all of them, and they all worked great except one. it was broken. The attachments do seem a little flimsy, but no more then any other item you buy not made in this country. The vac is very easy to use. and the great part is that the plug is very long. I purchased the vac because, I cant stand the bagless vacs that are out there. the dust flys everywhere when you take the container off of the machine. The shark of course does'nt do that. makes breathing easier for me and my family. hope this helped.Shark CW240 Bagless Water Filtration Vac I have used a Rainbow and this isnt a rainbow. I didnt not expect an imitation Rainbow; however I was expecting something about the same size. The things I was dissipointed in were: the size of the vac is so large (very tall), the instructions pretty much suck, you only use a little water, the rotating bristles are air driven, it does not work well on heavy/thick carpet, its really difficult to clean out. The things I am most impressed with is that it really does pick up a lot of dirt and pet hair and I love the way my house smells after using this vac. There is no dust left floating around my house. The first day I got it I vacuumed my whole house and not once did I feel plugged up from the dust and pet dander that is usually floating all over the house after vacuuming even just one room with my old vac. Beware, I ordered this product and am still waiting for it. It takes over a month to ship out. I would love to give a review but its impossible because I don't have the vacuum.
