Designs 2-U Baby Safe Feeder |
| ReviewsI chose this soft food feeder because it was made in the US and the feeder bags weren't dyed. Why on earth would I want my baby to suck on a purple feeder bag when he can suck on an undyed one?
These are easy for my 5.5 month old to handle, and in my experience clean up pretty easily it you turn it inside out and scrub with a toothbrush as soon as he's done.
These are definitely an improvement over the cheesecloth that I was previously wrapping pieces of fruit in, though we'll see how durable they are once he's gotten some teeth.
These feeders are so handy. The handles are perfect for little hands and they hold cookies, apple and orange slices nicely! A great idea for my baby who watches her sister eat snacks and can now have her own! I've also put ice in there to help soothe her gums when she's teething.
Our 7 month old daughter loves this, a piece of ripe banana inside and she's in baby heaven. The screw on design is easy to use, and the replacement bags make washing up easier. (and you can buy new ones too)
We got the munchkin brand first, and the design of that one is far inferior to this. You have to pinch little plastic tabs to release the hinge, and the mesh is not replacable.
The Sassy Baby Safe Feeder is a GREAT product. My 8 month old son thinks he is such a big boy eating his fruit or veggies all by himself. I don't have to worry about him gagging or choking, which is a SO great. I make his baby food (sometimes) and freeze it in ice cube trays. Today I gave him a frozen applesauce cube and he LOVED it. I think it felt good on his gums (he's teething). The bags do get a little stained, but I rinse them out right away and wash them with antibacterial dish soap, and it seems to be just fine. Overall, great product!
Avoid putting bananas in this, the residue is very hard to clean. Apples, pears, ice work well.
