Sanyo DB-L50 / DB-L50AU Replacement Battery (Premium Japanese Cells, 2100 mAh, 5-YR Warranty) (by Wasabi Power®) |
| Product DescriptionThis battery replaces the Sanyo original DB-L50 / DB-L50AU model batteries. The Wasabi Power® name, images, and contents of this listing are protected by trademarks and copyrights. Copyright © 2000-2009 Blue Nook.ReviewsI bought two of the these batteries and the matching external charger from Blue Nook through Amazon:
* Battery Charger for Sanyo DB-L50 and DB-L50AU (100-240V) Wasabi Power®
with card adapter
* Sanyo DB-L50 / DB-L50AU Replacement Battery (by Wasabi Power®)
(Premium Japanese Cells, 2100 mAh, 5-YR Warranty)
The charger worked well in the USA (120 VAC, 60 Hz) and in Australia and New Zealand (230 VAC, 50 Hz). No adjustments are necessary. It charged the Wasabi batteries and the Sanyo battery that came with my Sanyo camcorder (Sanyo VPC-FH1).
The Wasabi batteries seemed to power the camera for the same length of time as the Sanyo battery. And you need the extra batteries if you intend to reliably record more than 90 minutes of video in one day (at least with the Sanyo VPC-FH1).
Using the camera as the battery charging platform with just one battery is a bad idea. Spend the extra fifty odd bucks for two cheap Wasabi extra batteries and the Wasabi charger. Then you can have a battery charging during the day while you have two with you for video recording. I never ran out of juice with this scheme and took lots of videos each day.
