I used a ceramic pot for years, and when it finally broke, I bought this one. It's easier to clean, inside and out, and the filters make any odor non-existent. I'm very happy with my new compost pot, and I don't think it will be breaking any time in the near future...
I've had a composting bucket like this for years and loved it. The charcoal filter in the lid works really well, and it looks handsome next to the kitchen sink. It really makes collecting kitchen scraps for compost easy.
I bought this latest one to give my dad as a present. He loves it, too. The "fit and finish" is not nearly as good as on my old one -- too bad -- but it's still a great product.
It's sturdy & looks much nicer on our counter than the old cottage cheese containers we were using! Plus the bail makes it much easier to haul to the compost pile & dump.
Keeps smell in container. Large enough to hold scraps for several days. Seems sturdy enough to last. We are happy with this purchase.
