This camera was great in most of the ways the 5-star reviews here say it is. I don't know if maybe mine was just a lemon but it had dust on the CCD right out of the box which ruined my pics of an air show I attended. I sent it to Vann's for service and they sent it back to me about a month later without even fixing it. I'll never again do business with a dishonest outfit like Vann's. Anyway, I sent the camera to Panasonic to get fixed under the warranty and they sent it back in 3 days, perfectly clean. I kept it in a clean camera bag, lens down for a few months until the next summer and, sure enough, I had more dust on the CCD which ruined my vacation photos. Took it to a local camera shop which charged $60 to take it apart and clean the CCD. Two weeks later, more CCD dust, more ruined photos. This camera brought me a years worth of grief, frustration and ruined photos of once-in-a-lifetime experiences. I won't buy a Panasonic camera again and I hope Vann's goes out of business. This is a great camera ! I wanted something that was easy to use and a lot of zoom! The picture quality is good too.
