One Year WarrantyReviewsOn the one hand, this battery only cost me about $7. On the other, while it came with a charge out of the box, when I plug it into my brand new official Canon battery charger, the charge light does not light up.
I purchased a more expensive 3rd party battery alongside this one and I'm glad I did as that one charges perfectly fine. Still, at least mine came charged so I can keep it as an emergency, single-use battery.
I would recommend paying a bit more and buying a battery you can recharge.
I purchased the Maximal battery as a back up battery for my son's college graduation but decided to use it first and used my OEM Canon battery as the back up. The Maximal battery performed flawlessly and still had one third of its power remaining after taking 383 high resolution photos all with a flash! This battery exceeded my expectations.
Battery that I got from Amazon was dead. Before I inserted it into a charger it was 0 volts. After charging it only lasted half an hour before it self discharged to 0V. If I inserted it into my camera It was on for a few seconds before it shud itself down.
Ordered two as replacements for Canon still camera. First one out of the packaging wouldn't take a charge. Thought it might be charger so sprang for new charger from same company.
And asked for replacement.
Got charger, second battery from order, took charge but when the replacement arrived it was DOA. Sent them back.
I bought this battery thinking that for $7 I could stand to suffer some battery life issues. If I had know that it would not even charge initially I would have never ordered it. I can only hope that my case is an isolated incident. Tomorrow I will get an RMA and buy a different brand. Sour taste in my mouth.
