Lowepro Nova 3 AW Camera Bag (Black) For The Canon Powershot S5 IS, S3 IS, S2 IS, G10, G9, G7, SX10, SX1, SX100 Digital Cameras| no image |
| Product DescriptionThis lightweight shoulder bag has always been highly popular for travel. The Nova AW Series is packed with serious weather protection, advanced materials, sleek new exteriors, and a comfortable shoulder strap. Versatilve Nova AW's handle many different camera systems with ease.
For those who like a more compact system, Nova 3 AW has a sleek look, hi-tech materials and an All Weather CoverTM. Movable dividers adjust the interior for your equipment. Film and accessories go in the inner and outer mesh pockets, security pocket and front NoDrop PocketTM. Includes an OverLap ZipperTM, rugged metal hardware, a curved, pressed-foam shoulder strap, and padded handle.ReviewsThe Lowepro Nova 3AW Camera bag is the perfect size for taking the Canon sx10is on an extended trip. There is plenty of room for the camera, extra memory chips, a battery charger and even the instruction manual without being heavy or bulky, although it's probably an overkill if you're just going out to shoot a few photos on a day outing. The hidden rain protector is also a great feature, although it's somewhat awkward to put over the bag. I would have prefered a rain protector that was completely detatchable, although I would then probably lose it.
This is the 2nd Lowepro Nova 3 AW I have purchased in the last 3 years. Bag # 1 has held-up very well inspite of considerable traveling and outdoor use. I now use it for a Canon Rebel with additional lens. Most impressive is the easy access flip cover which does not need to be clasped to secure the contents and allows quick access and reach when the camera needs to be removed for use. For more security the zipper and clasp provide complete protection (particularly when stored under a plane seat or in an upright compartment).
Also impressive is the deceiving amount of space in the inner compartment as well as the various side pockets. I am able to store my Canon 5D Mark ll with 24-105mm lens attached, along with a Canon 430 EX ll Speedlite flash and a 70-200mm L lens. The Nova 3 AW is a very versatile and compact bag but big enough for large-size SLRs. Try the Nova 2 AW if your camera is smaller (such as the Canon Rebel or Canon G10) and you need extra room for a flash or extra lens but still need room for keys, wallet or an iPod. You won't be disappointed with either bag. For the price these bags are worth every penny.
Nice good size bag, holds my camera with standard lens attached, mauals , battery charger, telephoto lens and room for 1 more lens. Great buy glad I bought it.
I bought this camera bag to hold my Canon SX10 IS & accessories. I find the bag to be too large. I bought the bag based on the reviews, but should have been more careful about 2 things:
1) Check the product dimensions. This bag is pretty bulky in my opinion. I wanted to carry the camera and a change of batteries. If you are looking to hold all of your accessories also, this will be a good fit for you.
2) Check the return policy of the shipper. I bought this from seller DBRoth and it turns out they charge a 10% restocking fee on returns, so I'll be keeping this bag instead of finding a smaller bag from them.
The good thing about this bag is that it is well padded and will protect the camera. There is also more than ample room (I don't have an extra flash or extra lenses though). It seems to be well constructed.
I just don't like the boxy shape and size of the bag. It seems like overkill for me. I use the camera to shoot wildlife and I'd prefer something smaller that would fit only the camera and 4 spare batteries. This one is kind of bulky to carry in the woods. It would be ideal for airport travel.
Anyways, depending on your use, this could be for you. It wasn't right for me, but I might as well keep it rather than pay the restocking fee. Will be looking for a smaller bag from a different seller.
Overall, it's a good bag, but I had an unfortunate accident with it early on and my camera fell out (no damage). Yes, it was 90% my fault, but I do think the bag's design contributed.
