| Product DescriptionThe GR-DVM80 is a Mini DV camcorder from the middle of JVC's digital line, and when they say mini, they mean mini. This camcorder is really no larger than an average coffee mug, but it packs quite a punch into its compact package. Besides being able to shoot video, this camcorder also shoots digital still images. The progressive-scan, 0.25-inch, 680, 000-pixel CCD will give you clearer still pictures than the interlaced-scan CCDs used on most camcorders. The camcorder stores still images on tape; it doesn't work with flash memory cards like SmartMedia or Memory Stick.JVC has given you choices as far as monitoring your subjects, in that the GR-DVM80 features both a 2.5-inch color LCD screen, and a more traditional, 113k-pixel color viewfinder. The camcorder is also equipped with a 10x optical zoom range and 200x digital zoom functions. This camcorder also offers an IEEE-1394 interface that lets you transfer your videos digitally to your computer for editing. Playback zoom function, special effects and included PC software top off the package. |
