I have tried many printers over the years. Most recently, I have used both Epson and HP All-IN-ONES. I strongly recommend this printer over the All In Ones for the photo enthusiasts who desire high quality photos. The printer has six inks (3-color and two black). The printer works well as a text printer with high quality output here as well. The printer allows you to write and print photos on printable DVD's. The procedure is a little cumbersome and without adequate instruction from the manual, but the result is quite pleasant.Skin tones, highlights, shadows, and midtones are rendered extremely well. I use mostly HP Premium Plus Photo paper and find the results more than adequate and certainly comparable to lab results.
Great printer overall. But, the software intallation was a pain and takes way too much space. Just a simple driver installation option should be available.
The HP Photosmart printer does a beautiful job of printing my digital pictures. It is simple to use and to change the ink cartridges. It does seem rather noisy when printing but does a beautiful job. The colors are so very rich. It is a great value for the money.
needed cd printing - printed probably 75 images on CDs and still have 50% of the black and 75% of the color ink!
