This case is exactly what I wanted, and a lot of the low ratings here are simply indicative of people who didn't actually want this type of camera case.

I fly a lot and a bulky camera case doesn't happen to fit well inside my laptop roller carry on. I needed the bare minimum case that would cover the camera and not add any bulk so that the camera could fit inside my medium travel purse as I can't have yet another "item" to carry on a plane. This is absolutely perfect for that purpose. Since Canon still hasn't quite figured out the magic behind a lens cap that stays on all the time, I couldn't risk just throwing the camera in naked in case other items in my purse hit up against the lens. This case adds almost no bulk to the camera, is well made, and protects it very well against other items in the same bag.

As a result, no it does not really hold anything extra. It is not a "carrying system" for your camera and accessories. I can fit my USB memory card reader or an SD card loose inside the case, but not extra batteries, for example. Do not buy this case if you want a dedicated travel item for all your photography needs. Read other reviews here carefully, and you'll see that most people who are disappointed in the case expected it to do what it's not designed to do.

This is what you want for a "case within a case" situation, for example if you want to throw your camera in a larger bag or purse. It doesn't even come with its own strap, so that should tell you that it's more of a protective cover than a carrying solution. I am absolutely thrilled with this product. It's a good, snug fit and appears to be high quality material and manufacturing. A few people seemed to mention it didn't fit the SX10/SX20 but that's not my experience at all. It's a perfect, custom fit. I looked everywhere for something like this, finding mostly bags that added bulk, and it's exactly what I needed.

If you fly for business and have to worry about carrying on a laptop and a large camera, then you probably don't want a separate camera carrying case anyway. I also don't want a big carrying case if I'm out touring. Memory cards are large enough now that I don't even come close to filling a 16GB card in a day, and AA batteries are strong enough now that I usually won't have to change batteries in a day of sightseeing, either. So why do I need a bulky carrying case for a bulky camera in addition to whatever purse/day bag I might be carrying? If you have an SX10 or SX20, then you are probably good to go with the memory card and batteries inside the camera, freshly emptied/charged for the day. It's not that difficult to stash a memory card inside the case if you really need a second one, and throw batteries in your purse. For me, the camera is bulky enough for frequent flying/traveling. I didn't want yet another item to complicate matters, so this worked for me. If that's your situation, too, then this is exactly what you want.

Light and protective. Nice leather. Fits an SX20IS perfectly. Easy to get the camera out for quick shots. With camera strap tucked in, it can go on the front waist strap of your pack so the camera is easy to reach. If using the camera strap it gives some protection for bouncing around while you walk. Also provides protection for the camera in a hard case for traveling. Great case!!!!

I had the PSC-75 case for my S2 IS, so I had a good idea what to expect. I like the construction and operation of the PSC-4000 better, and overall happy with it. As other reviewers have noted, there are no pockets in this case, internal or external, and the camera itself is a snug fit. Note, for those upgrading from the older S1/2/3 series, the SX20 does not fit into the PSC-75 case.

I love this camera case, yes, it's a snug fit case but that's what I was looking for. Once I inserted 32GB memory card and have Sanyo eneloop series rechargeable batteries in the camera, I had no need of extra room for batteries and extra memory. It looks good and protects the camera in transit. Once I start shooting, I usually tuck away the bag until the end of shooting session. But if you like to put camera back in the case after couple shots, you can do that too, let the case hang off the neck strap, little awkward but not too bad. All in all, I like this case and would recommend to any one who DOES NOT need extra space, pockets for accessories.

Pros: Well made. Protects camera (SX10is) well. Good looking.

Cons: No shoulder strap. No pockets for memory cards, batteries, etc.

I made the mistake of purchasing this camera bag for our Canon SX10is. At the time, I wanted something small and didn't care too much about all kinds of pockets and add-ons. I also made the mistake of thinking that the camera strap would serve just fine as other reviewers have mentioned. Now I realize that I should have thought about it more especially when my camera uses four AA batteries and I'm always worried about where I leave the camera bag.

This is all irrelevant if you only want to carry an extra memory card or something very small. It is a well made, good looking camera case. It is just not what I should have purchased. I have now ordered a Lowepro Rezo 110AW that I hope will serve me better. I cannot rate this bag harshly for not being what I now want it to be.
