Each battery takes noticeably fewer pictures than Canon brand batteries (around 250 vs 400). However, when not in use, they do keep their charge. (Contrary to other reviewers) The dollars per mAh is so much less, that it makes these batteries worthwhile. If you're looking for reasonably priced batteries, and don't mind changing batteries at least a couple times a day, I suggest getting 2 or 3 sets of these things. However, if you (like me) don't like having to change batteries very often, I recommend against getting them. I needed to replace the five-year old battery that came with my Canon 300D. I took a chance on these *very affordable* replacement batteries and I expected to "get what I paid for". So far so good, after a full first-time charge, they're giving out a decent performance. Of course, I would like to try them out a whole year before I could give a final grade on this battery brand. The original battery for my first generation Digital Rebel is no longer reliable. I shopped around for an official Canon replacement, and the price of their batteries was, in my opinion, unreasonably high. I decided to gamble on these batteries and have been very satisfied. The price is more than fair (speaking of good prices, grab the inexpensive charger from the same company while you're shopping), and so far I have been very pleased with the performance of both batteries. Bought as back-up batteries and they have been holding the charge as long as the original batteries supplied with the camera. Did not rate higher as I don't know how long they will continue to hold a good charge. Too soon to tell, but at this time this product works great. Bought these to replace a 6 year old battery for a Canon EOS 30D camera. The battery fit perfectly, and charged fine. Great deal for 2 batteries. Company shipped item in a timely manner. Recommend it as a replacement option.
